This morning was very nice. Of course, another beautiful morning here in Zambia. Anna made delicious lemon poppyseed muffins while Jill and I prepared for the day of ministry. I have Men’s prayer meeting and visitation, and Jill has a Ladies meeting. Exciting day to serve the Lord.

As I was getting dressed I was listening to Allison sing while she did the dishes, then just now in my office going through some scripture I heard her playing the piano.

It is just making it so real that in just over a month she will be out of our home and off to college and then on with her life. We have worked so hard for this day to come and now my eyes are filled with tears as I realize it is upon us.

We praise the Lord for all of our children. What a blessing they all are to us. The time with them in our home is so fleeting.

A year or so ago I read an article about a family who bought a large house together. They had one main entrance but then each floor was set up as apartments. The parents lived on the first floor, then one child and their family lived on the second floor and another child and their family lived on third. I scoffed at this idea when I read it, but just now thinking about the joy of seeing grandchildren and piano playing and violin practice and singing, it makes a lot more sense to me. I miss my two children who are already gone, and again my heart is torn by the one leaving next month, and looking ahead to our youngest leaving next year is very hard. I am so thankful to the Lord for the time that we have had together, and for an eternity that awaits us some day.

I hope that you have a blessed weekend serving our Savior. I will write again after Sunday services with a Ministry Update. Until then, I am praying for you, please keep us in your prayers as well. Lord bless you.
